Planning a birding staycation in Norfolk this summer?
Visitors flock to Norfolk every year to see the enormous numbers of birds on the coast.
Travel inland for just a few miles and you can visit Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve.
Over 200 acres of woodland, wetland and fen with SSSI and SAC status are bounded by the
beautiful River Wensum, a rare chalk stream.
There are hides where you can sit to observe woodland birds, raptors and, on the recently created wetland our newest resident a Great White Egret. Lapwing, Oystercatchers and Little Egrets are also regular visitors.
With an extensive network of boardwalks, the entire site is fully accessible for wheelchair and buggy users. Come to see this beautiful, peaceful place when you want to get away from the coastal crowds!
We look forward to welcoming you this summer.
